What is the format of the GMAT?

The GMAT consists of  two 30 min  essay sections followed by two 75 minute sections which can be either Quantitative or Verbal. The GMAT is also computer adaptive, so the questions get harder when you answer  a question correctly, and get easier when you answer a question wrongly.

Quantitative section of the GMAT

The quantitative section of the GMAT consists of problem solving and data sufficiency. Math topics tested are Algebra, Arithmetic and Geometry.

Verbal section of the GMAT

The verbal section consists of reading comprehension, critical reasoning and and sentence correction.
